AJHS parents can create an account and add their children's classes to "My Classes." This account will customize the website and allow parents to see just the classes that they subscribe to when logged in to the site. Creating an account will also send daily assignment notifications to the email address associated with the account. Parents with children at multiple schools can create accounts on the AJHS and AHS websites.  

AJHS students who create accounts get the added bonus of being able to submit assignments online if their teacher has set up an assignment to allow online submissions. In order to do this, students should print out or write down their verification code that is generated during the registration process. Students should then bring their verifation code to one of their classroom teachers or Shannon Griggs in the AJHS Library Media Center for verification.

• View goals, results of the last AR quiz taken, and overall progress.
• Find books that have Accelerated Reader quizzes.
• View "My Bookshelf" which shows the books on which quizzes have been taken.
 
Email Notifications from Home Connect:
Students & parents may specify email addresses of parents, guardians, or relatives to receive updates of student progress via email. The recipient must accept the invitation for the notifications to begin. Emails will be sent automatically by the program and will contain results of any Accelerated Reader quizzes the student completes.

This service is provided by PayPAMS which integrates with our lunchroom software. Parents can view account balances, monitor purchases, receive email notifications of low balances, make deposits, and even set up auto deposits once balances reach a certain threshold. It connects students and teachers with resources to support classroom instruction and the Accelerated Reader program. The new interface fosters greater collaboration among students, teachers, library media specialists and parents. Destiny Quest strengthens both the library-classroom and library-home connection while helping to improve information literacy.
 
In addition to searching the AJHS LMC's collection from the classroom or home, students can explore what is new to the shelves in the AJHS LMC, the most popular books at AJHS, and books that appear on a teacher's resource list.
